{"id":246,"date":"2011-11-04T17:44:48","date_gmt":"2011-11-04T17:44:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/wp\/?p=246"},"modified":"2011-12-17T02:06:18","modified_gmt":"2011-12-17T02:06:18","slug":"sesame-grilled-pork-tenderloin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/?p=246","title":{"rendered":"SESAME-GRILLED PORK TENDERLOIN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>These dog-days of summer create a feeling of ennui.\u00a0 We loll in the hammock; discarded books scattered around, \u00a0 ice cubes melting in the lemonade glass,\u00a0 heavy eyes dream us away.\u00a0 We don&#8217;t feel like cooking.\u00a0 Reason enough to fire up the grill and cook this recipe for pork tenderloin.\u00a0 The flavours are so addictive I\u00a0 find myself craving this dish and cooking it over and over again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_00021.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-247\" title=\"IMG_0002\" src=\"http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_00021.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"480\" height=\"360\" srcset=\"http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_00021.jpg 800w, http:\/\/mrsbutterfingers.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/11\/IMG_00021-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pork tenderloin, the most lean and tender part of the pig, is a boon to the summer cook.\u00a0 Marinate it for several hours or overnight in this Asian inspired marinade.\u00a0 The easy way to do this is to put both pork and the marinade in a self-sealing plastic bag.\u00a0 Cook the pork over coals on a barbecue for fifteen to twenty minutes, or in the oven for a little over half an hour.\u00a0 Use your instant read thermometer so you don&#8217;t overcook this cut of pork.<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 pounds pork tenderloin<\/p>\n<p>For marinade:<\/p>\n<p>4 tbsp soy sauce<\/p>\n<p>2 tbsp sesame oil<\/p>\n<p>2 tbsp brown sugar<\/p>\n<p>1 tsp honey<\/p>\n<p>1 tbsp dry sherry<\/p>\n<p>4 fat cloves of garlic, peeled and minced<\/p>\n<p>4 scallions, white and green parts both, sliced on a diagonal<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup chicken stock<\/p>\n<p>Combine all ingredients for marinade and marinate pork for several hours covered, or overnight, in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p>Remove pork from marinade.\u00a0 Put marinade in small sauce pan with chicken stock and bring to the boil.\u00a0 Lower heat the boil gently\u00a0 until reduced a lovely glistening syrupy consistency.
